There are 3 new NGK Iridium ECS version spark plugs available for snowmobiles. These are the same as the other ECS spark plugs which have chamfered faces where the ground electrode is attached by welding. This chamfer was added to strengthen the weld and eliminate electrode burn off.

Someone on this forum posted this past 2017/2018 season with an intriguing method of diagnosing a faulty Stator versus a faulty Voltage Regulator/Rectifier. I remember enough of it to work it out, but I'm looking for help to find that post. It had to do with measuring the output of the 3 phases of the Stator while the engine was running. Most web forums don't quote other quotes, or pictures, to save space and loadup time.
